Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) at Sacred Heart and Holy Rosary Parish is a transformative journey for individuals seeking to become full members of the Catholic Church. The program is designed for those who are unbaptized, baptized in another Christian denomination, or baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments
of Eucharist and Confirmation.

Program Highlights:

• Faith Formation: Participants engage in weekly sessions that cover the core teachings of the Catholic faith, scripture study, and the sacraments.
• Community Support: Candidates and catechumens are supported by sponsors, who accompany them throughout their spiritual journey, and by a welcoming parish community.
• Liturgical Rites: Key milestones are marked by special liturgical rites, including the Rite of Acceptance, the Rite of Election, and the Sacraments of Initiation,
• celebrated during the Easter Vigil.
• Spiritual Growth: The program emphasizes personal prayer, communal worship, and moral living, fostering a deep and lasting relationship with Christ and His Church.

RCIA at Sacred Heart and Holy Rosary Parish is more than a program; it’s an invitation to discover the fullness of the Catholic faith and to embark on a lifelong journey of discipleship.

It is led with great devotion by our Pastor, Fr. Brendan. OCIA usually begins in September and our candidates are welcomed into the Church during the beautiful Easter Vigil.
